The value for the money was excellent, and the room was cozy and well-decorated. The location was peaceful with a beautiful garden, and the staff, Ann and Ian, were incredibly welcoming and friendly.
Hotel breakfast could use a bit more variety.

The personal touches of a welcome pack with breakfast items and homemade treats were a lovely gesture. The cleanliness and overall comfort of the accommodation exceeded expectations. It was a perfect place for a short weekend getaway.
It would have been nice to have a more private outdoor space, especially during warmer weather. Other than that, there were no significant drawbacks to mention.

We got great value for our money at The Byre At Heartwood. The room was clean, comfortable, and had everything we needed. The location was perfect for exploring the beautiful countryside of Kent and East Sussex. The host was incredibly friendly and welcoming, even leaving us freshly baked bread and other goodies in the kitchen. We felt right at home!
The food for breakfast could have been more varied.

The cottage was larger than expected, with a well-equipped kitchen and a lovely setting. It was also a short walk to the village, which was convenient. the welcome pack of fresh bread, eggs, bacon, and cupcakes was a nice touch and made us feel welcomed.
The bed was quite hard and uncomfortable, which made it difficult to get a good night's sleep. the lack of any nearby attractions or activities made it a bit boring during our stay.

The cottage at the Byre At Heartwood was beautifully decorated with tasteful touches and had excellent amenities. As a disabled guest, I appreciated the comfortable bed and the high standard of cleanliness throughout. the shower was also fantastic. the welcoming pack of homemade bread, cupcakes, bacon, eggs, butter milk, tea. the hosts, Ann and her husband, were warm and welcoming, making me feel at home from the start. They were incredibly helpful and nothing was too much trouble. I highly recommend this place and can't wait to come back.
Felt extremely safe, no complaints at all.

What a gem of a place! The hosts were absolutely lovely and made us feel so welcome. The accommodation was clean and cozy, with fresh and fragrant bedding and towels. The gated property provided a sense of safety, and the location couldn't have been better for attending a friend's wedding at Wadhurst Castle. The wooden beams added a charming touch, and the homemade cupcakes and breakfast essentials left for us were a delightful surprise.
The bed was a little too springy for my liking. , being 6 ft 4, I had a constant battle with the low beam in the room.

We recently stayed at The Byre At Heartwood for a week and it exceeded our expectations. The cottage was much bigger than we anticipated, with a well-equipped kitchen and a lovely, clean setting. The owners thoughtfully provided a welcome pack with fresh bread, eggs, bacon, milk, and cupcakes. The bed was comfy, the linens and towels were luxurious, and the garden was beautiful. We also appreciated the convenient location, with two pubs and a village shop within easy walking distance. a wonderful stay and we would definitely recommend it.
